Since the establishment in 2002, it is the remit of the Stiftung Digitale Chancen (from now: SDC) (Digital Opportunities Foundation) to research the social impact of digitisation, to campaign for equal access to the internet for all people, and to advance digital literacy. Our objective is digital inclusion of all societal groups and counteracting the digital divide. We work in cooperation with public, civic, and private partners. 

Our projects are funded by federal and European programs as well as by industry. The goal of is to spark people’s interest in the internet and to support them with their steps into the digital world. SDC wants them to become aware of the opportunities this medium offers and to make use of them. Within this focus SDC promotes digital literacy by addressing different underrepresented or vulnerable target groups and helping people to learn more about the internet and the digital world; supports providers of social services, formal and non-formal education; addresses stakeholders from politics, business and the academia who work on digital inclusion and stimulate public and private efforts to bring the power of communications to under-served communities.

Exeo Lab is a multivalent, flexible young company that envisions a sustainability-driven society. Exeo Lab is working to demonstrate that local development is the key to attract projects, skills, opportunities and networks for community growth. Exeo Lab is a partnership of policy specialists, whose founding members have more than a decade of actual experience in consulting services to public and private entities. Also, Exeo Lab provides SMEs and innovative startups with advanced assistance in the field of business development, investment strategies, technology transfer and R&S. The main aims and fields of expertise comprise: technical assistance to the P.A., business development, social entrepreneurship, terrirorial development, internalization, cooperation, infact Exeo Lab Lab participates in regional, national and transnational projects aimed at creating developmental opportunities for the involved territories, especially in the field of entrepreneurship, social and work inclusion.

Innovation Hive is a private non-profit organization located in Greece, specialized in the fields of research and innovation. Our actions aim to enhance the economic and social cohesion of European societies while our goal is to find solutions to the new innovation challenges, achieve growth, sustainability and maximize the impact to the society. The organization’s philosophy in order to achieve these goals is based on co-creation methodologies and a quadruple helix approach. The engagement of stakeholders from industry, science and society is aiming to create links between the businesses, the academia and the civic actors in order to develop a combination of knowledge, skills, tools, values and motivation. The final goal is to make the difference in local societies and to succeed at the highest level the principles of social innovation concepts.

Established in 2002, SYNTHESIS Center for Research and Education is a pioneering organization which designs and implements research and educational projects with social impact. SYNTHESIS is one of the leading institutions in Cyprus in the fields of social innovation and social entrepreneurship; it founded Hub Nicosia, a social innovation hub which houses and supports entrepreneurs and organizations with a social mission. In a world surrounded with conflict and exclusion of many forms, SYNTHESIS aspires to take part in actions that improve individual lives, enhance social inclusion, and contribute to a green and sustainable future, for the people and the planet.

The Rightchallenge Association is a non-governmental organisation which aims at the promotion of education as a means of social inclusion and equal opportunities. We believe that education must focus in the integral development of all people – independently of social status, age, or gender – in order to prepare them to intervene and participate in all dimensions of society, such as family, work, community and leisure. 

So, as an organisation actively engaged with the community, one of our pillars is lifelong learning, because we have the conviction that it’s essential to sustainable development, as it promotes active, democratic and responsible citizenship among citizens. Rightchallenge activities are aimed to ensure quality and access to non-formal education and to overcome the deficits in access to lifelong learning in Portugal, while promoting the valorisation of human capital and generating value in organisations by providing integrated training services. 

Rightchallenge recognises that non-formal education and lifelong are extremely important to develop social, emotional and cognitive competences, while promoting the individuals’ personal fulfilment and well-being. As an organisation who strives for the holistic development, we promote and develop positive transformations in society and facilitate the access of learning opportunities for citizens who face educational attainment obstacles. 

Our specialists have a wide range of expertise in vocational education and training, educational policies and networking activities in the field of non-formal education. We create resources and curriculum (both in online and face-to-face environments) to support adult educators and other VET providers to address the needs of their target-groups. Rightchallenge also works with policy makers and stakeholders to improve the skills of everyone that participates in non-formal education.

ICARUS HRVATSKA is a non-profit association dedicated to the research of historical sources, the promotion of the open access to archives through new IT technologies and the development of cross-institutional and international cooperation in the culture, science and GLAM professionals’ activities. This is implemented through interaction with local communities and organizations on encouraging preservation, interpretation and research of cultural heritage, as well as citizens’ engagement in it. ICARUS HRVATSKA work – public and education programs, digital platforms, expert meetings, exhibitions, workshops, communication and publishing activities etc. – is focused on the collaboration, networking and transfer of knowledge in cultural heritage sector, as well as to implementation of international archival and information society projects and initiatives that enable connecting Croatian institutions and experts with global trends and examples of good practice.
